Release notes.
What’s new in version 1.4.5
MC# acronym was changed
We
decided to change the meaning of acronym MC# to “Multiprocessor C#”, because it better reflects the essense of the
language rather than “Master of
Ceremonies#”. Changes in the installers
Due
to numerous complains in this release we decided to concentrate on the
installation programs improving. Windows version: First
of all, now mcsc compiler, resource manager and work node do not depend on
registry keys anymore (there were some problems with installation of these keys
on some computers). The
next thing is that now “Repair” functionality is working. This functionality is
available in Control Panel or when you’re running installation program several
times. Also we fixed bug with not complete deletion of windows services during
the software uninstallation. Now
installer is adding by default the path to the “bin” folder into the system
environment variable “Path”. Thus you can use utilities mcsboot, mcshalt and
etc. from any folder you like just after the installation is completed. Linux-version: From
now on there is no need to setup environment variables before you begin the
installation (i.e. run make command). Which exactly environment variables are
needed to be set up will be displayed by the installer itself at the end of the
installation. If
you really need it now it is possible to disable the usage of .Net 2.0
functionalities by the Runtime System (for example, coloured console and etc.).
See makefiles for more details. Changes in the documentationThere are some changes
in the User's guide and other documents, which
are included in the Windows version of installation package.
